Bill has always been completely enamoured with fine craftsmanship, quality and pure creativity in design. His fascination with fine jewellery and craftsmanship remains an essential part of his collections today and is the main reason his company has rocketed into the forefront of the fashion jewellery world.

Bill studied jewels and jewellery making at Sir John Cass College of Art, London and he worked for several reputable companies in London's Hatton Garden area. At this time he started to become known as a gifted artist for pattern making and worked freelance for notable designers such as Asprey, Garrards, Zandra Rhodes and Burberry.

Bill's career continued to thrive, and he became associated with many notable, famous jewellers. As his collections grew throughout the 90s, he created a thriving business and made a variety of jewellery for many of the best known brands in the world. Creating jewellery and necklaces for brands like Vivienne Westwood and Butler & Wilson. Bill has made a few Royal Commissions as well including a charity commission by Princess Anne.

In January 2012, Bill launched his first collection as “Bill Skinner”. Each piece was carefully hand carved and crafted by he and his UK studio team. His collection received much attention and excellent reviews and he drew critical acclaim for his beautiful, eclectic and witty designs. He has recently been flagged as a Professional Jeweller Hot 100 jewellery designer.

Bill Skinner jewellery is different from other jewellers because of his unique and often unusual designs. They are exquisite and all hand carved at his Oxford studio. Of course, as mentioned previously he gained notoriety for his design innovations in London's Hatton Gardens which subsequently followed him to his private studio. His collections are distinctive with very original pieces that have often been influenced and themed with the British countryside in mind. He's also created jewellery and necklaces with several woodland scenes. Bill's jewellery has a true heritage feel, and he is a truly remarkable jewellery artist.
